"Painting is to me, an expression of what is inside. An attempt to portray the world as seen through my lens. To provide a portal to those willing to attempt it. The most significant event in shaping my work was the 16 months I spent living in and around the bombed out hull of Baghdad. My work is not an attempt to capture the experience of living on the edge, kill or be killed. It is what is left after. A glimpse into a man coming to terms with what has been, and what must be." Daniel Evans

Ameros Radio Interviews The Moho Collective

Posted by The Moho Collective , Wednesday, February 16, 2011 5:19 AM

Listen to internet radio with Ameros Radio on Blog Talk Radio

The above interview was conducted by Jesse Calhoun of the Albany based band Ameros.

The Ameros are a rock, reggae, hip-hop, and funk powerhouse that is saying things that no one else is saying. No matter who is telling the lies, the Ameros are here and steeped in the truth. Prepare to be awakened to a new paradigm via lyrics, harmonies, and blazing guitar solos. Not only have the Ameros have done benefits for 9/11 first responders, vaccine choice efforts, and children with special needs, they also host their own internet broadcast called Ameros Radio where they expose corruption and have both talk and musical guests. Tune in for their special blend of journalism and independent local rock. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/amerosradio

They have shared the stage with Rusted Root, Matt & Kim, Vanilla Ice, Naughty By Nature, Bell X-1, and Moby.

Check them out at:

So this has been a very busy year for us. We have only been a band for 18 months and in the last 12 months we have performed over 60 shows and currently have another 25 booked... as well as releasing a live album and coming up in late March we will be releasing our first studio album that we recorded at GFI Studios....soon after the studio album is released in March we will be releasing a 5 song jazz standards album that will show the softer side of the band....we are also in middle of booking a July tour down the east coast..... not to mention getting our merch. prepared and ordered, running all of the social media sites and purchasing a tour van.

So to say the least it's been a crazy busy year for us....but now the ground work has been laid and we are excited to get back to writing new material / booking shows and getting our music out there.

We look forward to seeing all of you soon!!!!!!

The Moho Collective has been working on a new album to be released next month as well as a new live video shot by 33 U Productions http://www.33uproductions.com/ ....we are just about done with the final mixes for the album and then its off to be pressed up and on sale. On Friday Sept. 24, 33 U Productions filmed us live at Boulder Coffee South Wedge for the night. They captured some great footage and are amazing to work with. Clay and Tommy do great work and we recommend them to everyone looking to get a video done....

As we approach October, Moho is gearing up for an eastcoast tour to VT and back in our new/used 15 pass tour van. Let me tell you its great to have a van that can hold all of us and all of our gear with ease. Check our webpage for locations and dates for that tour....we end it with a special show at Lovin Cup with guest pianist Willy O'Rielly ..... you dont want to misss this show....

The Moho Collective was invited to play the Honors House Art Gallery at FLCC (Finger Lakes Community College) for a new art release in October and we are stoked to be a part of it....

We will also be heading down to perform in Hornell for the 2011 17th annual Moustache Ball...this always proves to be a gnarly time.... www.myspace.com/moustacheball
